Did anyone know that
Brendan O'Leary, whom we should thank for bringing a touch of Britishness Irishness to our department, is consitutional advisor to the Kurdistan "government"? As in, he
is living in Kurdistan. I don't know how you can advise a government which doesn't exist, but apparently it pays well.

Brendan is also one of the most brilliant people I have ever encountered in my life, and has advised numerous other governments in their constitutional processes. And, he is Irish, and would be horrifed that you thanked him for "bringing a touch of Britishness to our department."

I've been trying to take a class with him, but the only thing he seems to be teaching next semester is a 500-level seminar, which I'm not inclined to take.
Thanks for the info!
Do you want to meet up before school ends? Or too busy with finals?
