There are a few words that I will never use, because everybody thinks they mean the opposite of what they actually do. Here are three

Hmm, interesting... I would argue that the meaning of "drone" has evolved beyond the bees, so people think about all the meanings at once without really thinking about them at all. To be mindless, to be one of many similar beings, an unchanging humming sound, to have little purpose... Also, after being applied to Borg or army "predator drones", it's taken on a robotic meaning (even if not officially recognized as such).

My head hurts now. That's it, no more thinking for today. *zzzzz*
