My mother just left after a week-long visit during which we did some vacationy things, so I haven't really been online much for a while. So this is a little bit of a random catch-up post for me, I guess, with the traditional Three Things That Make a Post:

My feelings towards the guy are kind of mixed. He did a lot of things with the show that I really liked and appreciated, and others that I really, um, didn't.

Yeah, this is my feeling too. I'm not the hugest fan of his, but he definitely did some things well and is better than Chibnall, so... fingers crossed.

I think RTD bringing the show back and making a success of it, for me far outweighs his faults. And I think he must truly love the show to have agreed to come back, as he's successful enough that he certainly didn't have to if he didn't want to.

"I feel old enough as it is." It could be worse. I've just learned that I'm older than your mother! (Admittedly, only just.)

One does have to wonder about the exact details of that decision. Did they approach him, hoping his experience would help at this point, or did he get a hankering to work on it again and offer, or what? In any case, I don't think RTD's sincere love for the show has ever been in doubt. And maybe that also helps make some of his flaws more forgivable, even. If he missteps, you know it's never because he doesn't care.

Does it help any if I say she was comparatively young when I was born? In any case, the real question here, obviously, is "Do you think funko pop Crowley is cute?" ;)

It helps a little. Can I dodge your second question and say that I think the original, flesh and blood Crowley (or is he technically flesh and blood?) is very cool? :)
