I enjoyed that. One of the strengths of this series has been how well the minor characters have been brought to life, and Professor Jericho was an excellent example. I've also liked the use of humour, and in this episode "I'm reversing the polarity of the neutron flow" was especially fun for those of us who retain fond memories of Classic Who. It's good to know that rebooting works to fix the TARDIS, as with so many devices.
My analytical side couldn't help thinking that half a planet orbiting a quarter of a sun wouldn't last very long before freezing, both from a reduction of the sun's heat output and because its orbit would turn into an outward spiral. But being too analytical with Doctor Who is never a good idea!
I will probably never get tired of "reverse the polarity of the neutron flow." Not least because it's so endearingly scientifically nonsensical, in a way that works in Who when it wouldn't for so many other shows.
The wrecked planet being a case in point. I didn't have a problem being too analytical with it, I think, precisely because it's so far past the realm of possibility that it doesn't even seem like a mistake. I just chalked it all up to "the Flux makes impossible things happen" with maybe a side order of "the quarter of a sun thing is poetic exaggeration" and moved on.

This episode almost begs for a pair of Time Agents to make an appearance.
