whale watch!!

I went on a whale watch yesterday and it was most awesome. I was actually surprised at how many whales we saw and how close they came to the boat. It's just so amazing to see these large animals up close and in their natural habitat; I know I've probably seen the same thing on TV, but seeing it in person is so cool. And you could tell that everyone

whales are nuts. we were out by stellwagen bank once and they came right up to the boat...literally. i had i been so inclined, i could have touched it. and this is in a 39-foot boat, not a whale watching cruise.

oh yeah, there were all these private boats nearby, around the size of your boat, and the whales were just chilling by those boats too. it's like... what happens if you fall in, and the whale is feeding nearby and you get sucked in by the whale? when they come up, their mouths are wide open! I wonder if that's ever happened...

I think I would've tried to touch the whale had it come up to me.. maybe not, but I'd be tempted to!
