reading astronomy textbooks and having to pause and think: is that a v or a nu? especially when there are both in the same equations.

I've also come to the conclusion that:
my scripts Is and script Ss look pretty much the same
my integral signs and uppercase print Ss look similar

I have a few students that do that as well (the penmanship comment, not the v or nu thingie :) I have to read the sentence a few times to find out what word they were using.
