No dance

Went to a wedding tonight. I guess I embarrass Gia if I dance. It makes me feel just like I did married to her dad...ashamed to dance when I love it so much. I sure hope she grows out of this, because I feel pretty crumby right now. :(

It is our job to both embarrass our children and teach that you need to do what makes us happy. That living our lives in a way to please others is a mistake. I would have danced with you and embarrassed everyone watching. And I would have had fun.

The few times I've tried to dance, I've looked like a complete fool (even more so than usual)!

Don't worry-- you're not alone. My daughter's not even 2 and any time I try to dance at home she says, "NO, MAMA!" I suppose I embarrass her, too. :)
