So, I've completed my first week at my new job (well, four days - I was off yesterday for Rosh Hashanah), and I'm not sure if I like it.  For those of you who haven't been keeping track, I started Monday working full-time as a paralegal for a bankruptcy firm eight minutes from my house. The job will get better. I feel the same way when I start a new job-don't know where anything is, don't know their procedures, lots of new stuff to learn, etc. Even switching between equine practices this summer was frustrating because both places were just DIFFERENT, even though it was the same type of job(ish-i also went from a primary care practice to a referral hospital, and that was very different) Give it some time, try not to be frustrated, and let your boss know when you feel overwhelmed. If it's a good boss, they'll understand and they'll work with you. If it's not a good boss, that's not your fault and it's probably not a place you want to be working anyway.
