It sounds great! I find it interesting that you're cooking with cucumbers, since it's something I've never done - I'll eat them raw, but I think I'm afraid something horrible will happen to them if I cook them. And we tend to end up with cucumbers getting old in the fridge because no one uses them, so it would be good to have something else to do with them.

Eggs and milk also have vitamin B in them, so I haven't actually had any trouble being just lacto-ovo. (With the very occasional fish/seafood when I'm starved for protein and that's all there is.)

Good luck! I lost a lot of weight in high school when I first went vegetarian, although being on the varsity volleyball team might've helped too.
