If you were going to a nice mid-scale, laid-back restaurant would you find the following menu item to be appealing? What else would you want to know? (Picture is missing, but I will try to have it up here as soon as I can.) Thanks for your help ( Read more... )

Well, it's not what I would order, since without the tuna, it would be pretty low-protein - broccoli and mushrooms and bread, with probably not too many walnuts. Although I appreciate that they thought of vegetarians.

Hmm. Is the tuna, like, tuna-out-of-a-can tuna, or something more respectable and piece-of-fish-like? That affects the aesthetic significantly.

Sounds like mid-scale pretending to be upscale, though. What were their prices like?

That was my dinner last night. And believe me I used lots of walnuts! And it was kinda tasty. Too bad, my phone can't send pictures cause I would put it up. And yeah, the meal was supposed to be mid-scale. Yeah, it's something I randomly came up with like all the recipes I extemporaneously come up with. But, thanks for your critique. If I were going to sell this I would use fresh tuna. But, that might be kinda pricey with all the other expensive stuff. Maybe the ingredients would be feasible if they were bough in bulk?

The only thing is, I didn't use homemade French bread. I kinda substituted with whole wheat bread that is better quality.

Well, everytime I go walking I notice the runners and some of them look kinda tired. I bet if they had a protein banana smoothie with an energy bar mixed in (you can't taste it) some of them might not look so exhausted after the run. Runner's high can only go so far. As I learned from running track and cross country you need protein (not always from lean meats, though) to reach your potential. And nuts contain proteins and Vitamin B-12 (I think). But, anyhow the dinner was tasty to me. I just wish I would have made some french bread.
