 We've learned that with the end of the program, space shuttles will be going to locations in Florida, Washington, and Los Angeles. The Enterprise in Washington will be relocated to New York City.

But not Houston, home of Mission Control.

New York State, specifically Corning supplied the heat shield tiles and windows. If that helps any.

There is no need to pay off NY for voting democratic, as long as NYC is in the mix.

I'm sure you have, but I gotta ask just to make sure, have you ever driven around the JSC area? That entire area bleeds Tang fer chrissakes because it's so ingrained with the space program.

If you want to take a more somber direction, Houston is the only place (region, close enough, it fits the concept) that has had to undertake search and recovery for a shuttle and its crew. That reason alone (IMO) makes it reprehensible that Houston doesn't get a shuttle for posterity.
