You don't know what you're taking for granted until you lose it. I can attest to that; I fell from good health last Thursday when I tore my Achilles' tendon at the gym. It was truly a moment of sheer stupidity and carelessness ... a post-retirement injury which could have been prevented by common-sense measures, e.g. stretching. Why I did anything ( Read more... )

*hugs* so sorry to hear that hon, I hope that you make a full recovery soon.Although I never did that to my ankles I have torn all ligaments and tendons and needed a total recon so i kinda know how you feel, and not being able to get around as normal is a pain too,as i said hope you feel better soon.

Oh gosh, Kev, I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope the recovery is quick. I know hobbling through airports on crutches sucks... i've done it enough times. I'm glad the staff was good to you and took care of you. Take it easy and try not to push yourself too hard right now. *big hugs*

(lol every time I see people doing stuff that's bad for their back, I cringe and want to tell them to take care of it (thier back) much like you want to remind everyone to stretch... )
