A really brief, complete fail GanonLink

After replaying TP (and finding GanonLink fanart, durhur) I've been finding this pairing easier to write than IkeMarth. Maybe I have... run out of AUs for the time being?

(Try to) enjoy~

“I don't want for us to be resented...” The Hylian stated, the slight choke in the back of his throat triggering his elder to sigh. Powerful hands crept around the pale jawline and dusted its skin, earning a comforted hum. Link always did have the tendency to wish for that which could not be obtained. Midna's return, a normal life back in Ordon or for Hyrule to forget its past trials were all preposterous claims - much like what he was presenting by staying here, with him.

“Link... There are things we were made to do... created for purposes unknown until the time arises.” A sound gulp of air was taken by the blonde. He knew what was coming. “Your purpose on this earth is to destroy me. I am not to be alive...”

A hand promptly clung to his, pressing its darkened palm against his face. “Don't say that, you know I won't let that happen...” Link whispered with an almost desperate tone, head shaking slightly. “We... We can surpass this... We love each other, right?”

Silence.

The crystalline azure eyes began to gloss, each small breath becoming shaky and ragged. Link knew he would receive no answer to the question. He never did. But he could at least understand - 'Love' was not a word found in a Dark Lord's vocabulary. Especially not when expressing feelings for another person.

“I'm sorry.” Ganondorf whispered, slipping his free hand down to the Hero's shoulder. “These moments will have to end. When that time is, however, is your choice."
