I'm at Comic Con, my first time. I don't think my feet will ever recover. Tonight SciFi sponsored airings of the new SG-1 and Atlantis eps in a ballroom that holds a thousand people, and it was packed! I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy it in a crowd but...
First they showed the premiere of Eureka, which was entertaining if a bit long since it was the 80 minute premiere (no commercials!). The main actor introduced the episode; he seemed very happy to be part of the show. I was afraid a lot of people would leave before they showed SG-1 and Atlantis, but the vast majority stayed all the way through. It was so fun watching Morpheus with a crowd. They laughed in all the right places and caught stuff I would have missed. Vala's antics got great laughs (the ink blot test! bwahaha) as did Mitchell's one-liners and Daniel's quips, and Teal'c slapping the military guy in the head. All the cast got good cheers during the opening credits, too. It gave such a different perspective to watch on the big screen and just roll with the crowd without being too left-brain critical about everything. For SGA the crowd was a bit more subdued, but there was a huge cheer for David H's title credit, and lots of laughs at the John/Rodney banter. Too bad the expedition is losing the moral high ground at an ever increasing rate...
A report will follow on Solutions but I just wanted to share that little bit. Oh, that and I need some more icons for this li (!)
