What's the best thing to encounter during a five-mile, 1,000 foot drop in elevation on the interstate?

Why a fog so dense you cannot see more than two vehicles in front of you!

On the drive back home from my grandmother's house the following day, my Japanese car manufactured in Mexico of Canadian parts flashed something I had never in the time I've owned it seen before:

ICY?

Yeah. There was ice not only on the shoulders, but on the actual interstate. Plus, this stuff called sleet was coming down hardcore.

I'm a Phoenix boy. All I know is hot and hotter.
