Gah, so cute. But not the kind of cute that feels like your brain is turning to mush. Which is a GOOD kind of cute.

No not yet. The conquest of the Americas doesn't begin until 1492, and even then, it doesn't really get started until the 1500s. I'll hopefully talk more about the conquest of the Americas in later parts of this fic.

Oh wow, what a lovely fic! I enjoy your Spain so much, he's wickedly smart and you can already see the ambitious empire he will become, but he's nontheless lovable and sweet and childish.

I'm also so in love with this fic for it being a Spanish historical fic, there is far too little Spanish history in the fandom.

Thank you! I do feel that at this point at time, he's still a teenager with huge ambitions. He's kinda forcing himself to grow up but still holding on to his youth and not forgetting who he is.

And I feel the same way about Spanish history in Hetalia fandom. There's so much more to it than just conquistadors and a Civil War and I wanna explore a bit more of it.

Actually, I would love to read a historical, epic conquest of the South Americas story as well (there might be, I have to admit I'm not as familiar with Spain's corner of fandom as I should), but yeah, there is definitely more to Spanish history than conquistadors and Franco. Personally, I'm quite intrigued by the era you're writing in now as well as the previous decades/centuries, when Islamic Spain was at it's height of power. Not that I know all that much about this era or any other Spanish historical era, but I love learning more about it.

As far as I know, there really isn't (and I would love to attempt writing that, but my knowledge of Latin and South America stops at Mexico and I'd really need to do a lot more research for me to feel that I could do it justice). I love this era of Spanish history, and the history of Al-Andalus, and the next part of this fic should touch a little bit on that era as well!
