...My baby brother just inadvertently asked me for birth control pills (see subject line of this entry). -.-' Don't even ask me to explain that. He thought they were candy. You'd think he'd be sick of candy in the post-Halloween sugar-high, but apparently not ( Read more... )

Your poor brother XP. Sour tick tacs, ah, that's a good one.

And I agree, woe is... the world. *jabbs icon*

I hope your Walt Whitman poems are better than Homer's -_-

Eh, he's just the victim of cluelessness. Ignorance is bliss, they say. But it's those in the know who get to do all the laughing XD XD

Woe indeed.

Ooh. We read Homer, too. But that was awhile ago, at the start of the semester. Which epic are you reading? The Odyssey? Have to say, though, that Whitman is worse than Homer. 'Nother something you get to look forward to in college :P

Yeah. We're reading The Odessey. And with my English teacher, it's as boring as hell. No one cares about the significance of Telemakhos taking a step forward. -.- I have my final on it next week.

Can't wait...

If anyone asks, point out that the whole dang epic ends in a deus ex machina. Also, the Homeric Code of Justice is a key element of the whole thing.

Telemachus is a little pansy mama's boy, by the way. That's why his stepping up and trying to take his father's place as head of the household is so significant.

Beyond that... I forgot already. XD
