it occurs to me that even when moving in unison, even if complete loss of individuality were atainable, there would still have to be SOMEONE at the top controlling the ebb and flow of our ideals (take ancient Egypt, for example), and that means that no matter what "human nature" (or what I like to call "often-unconscience-and-ultimately-uncontrolable-selfishness") will always reign supreme and we'll be doomed anyway.
