Everyone loves a root canal

So, today I was going to the endodontist (root canal specialist) at 11 AM for what I thought was a consultation. Turns out they just went ahead with the procedure! Surprise! I think my referral form from the dentist said to "evaluate", which is what they did, then decided to go ahead with the root canal. Joy

Ooh, root canal. Poor you. When I had mine, my endodontist was this tiny, very high-energy woman with a Spanish accent, and she kept swearing when she bent her instruments trying to clean all my tooth innards out. But overall it was not that horrible. The only thing was my jaw was sore from staying way too far open for way too long.

My endodontist is a normal, slightly doofy, middle-aged white guy. He told me he knew everything about Virginia history because he helped his son study for the SOL test a few years ago.

They used an extra-small bite block for me to keep my mouth open, and that worked OK. It was my #2 tooth (all the way back on the right) so it was hard to get to. Dr. Thorpe said luckily he had done a few thousand of the procedure, so it worked out OK.

I have had luck with Becket using Laughing Cow cheese. Maybe he is on Atkins.
