[The evening was early and when Odette stepped out of the lake, she knew what her destination was. The kitchen! First dinner like a good girl. And thankfully she did not miss the evening meal served in the Great Keep. With that done, she went to the kitchen to prepare a treat she had been craving for some time. Candied apples. It's an apple with a hard coating. They're very sweet. And very good. Try one.

[Tumnus had been around the green during his meanderings, a book firmly in hand as he read while walking. Certainly books about trees were not of everyone's highest interest, but the faun found it rather amazing to read about the wide variety of flora known to the various worlds the books were from.]

Amazing ..

[It's more to himself than anyone else that he's speaking. He approaches the bonfire, lost in his thoughts and the world of trees he is reading about. It's not until he's far closer to Odette and the warmth of the flames, that he realizes he is no longer alone and blinks, attention lifting from the pages.]
