A long time ago, (somewhere in between the second and third movie) I stopped watching Harry Potter movies. I always had fond memories of the first movie because of all the magical feeling fairytale bullshit that was typical of Chris Columbus. It might be cheesy but it has that magical flavour I always associated with Hogwarts in general. Then

I somehow agree with you, because as for me, lots of parts on the last book is definitely off. Not to mention on how (like you just said) creepy Snape was, despite the fact that a lot of people find its sweet and cute an adorable, but I have to say that its kind of psychotic.

The epilogue from the book and the movie where it says 19 years later *sigh again. Speechless. It's like when I found that S.Meyer wrote fourth book of Twilight Saga, which I thought its unnecessary, but then again, its their liberty to write anything they want, nee.

Still, I think Rowling is brilliant. <3

I think my biggest pet peeve was how anti-climatic everything is. I thought the book would have ended ala Lord of the Rings way. Sorely mistaken. Like Molly killing Bellatrix? Like WTF? LOLS!

Also, I maintain my stance that Snape was an evil man. He makes for an interesting character but seriously he is effed up. I also don't find his 'love' for Lily cute or sweet. I find it really creepy.
