I hear Jigglypuff is the finest bitch

As always I'm late to the party but I KIND OF LOVE DRAGON AGE: ORIGINS because I get to play mary-sue. I still have a ton of the game to get through, apparently I've only explored 40% of the world and I've put almost 40 hours into the game. I blame it on side-quests, my ultimate weakness ( Read more... )

dragon age, question

I romanced Alistair. His princely virginal purity was too much for me to resist. Then i rerolled a dude to romance Morrigan but I'm not through that playthrough yet!

It's tough NOT to romance him, he's too damn snarky and charming. I think Morrigan might be my favourite character because her relationship requires the most work. She's one of those 'tough but fair' characters to me.

I love Morrigan, she's such a darling woobie. I do love Alistar too though. Aaagh, they're all so likeable, and I'm super attached to my dog.

I love my Mabari too, I feel badass when he's walking behind me lol

My hubby romanced Morrigan, but he almost romanced the obviously gay guy (ohh I forgot his name, but he is flamboyant) just for the lawls.

A flamboyant guy... do I have that character? Unless you mean the elf, Zevran.

Zevran's the only gay option, and I didn't think he was obvious or flamboyant.

I just started playing Dragon Age myself because my brother forced me to do it. I'm having the same problem with the romance. I have no idea who to go for, and I'm still figuring out how that's supposed to work. I like being friends with everyone! D:

Even tougher if you're the gift giving type! What I really like about the game is when some characters give you feedback on some of choices you make if they're in your party.

Oh man, when I got to one section of the game I picked a decision alistair didn't like. When we got back to camp he started screaming and yelling at me and I was like D: D: D: YOU'RE BREAKING MY HEART ALI

It was so surprising but so engaging!

... I really want to see that even though I don't like pissing Alistair off. I had to reload when I turned him down I felt so bad, and all my gift giving went to waste.

i always get lost in that game. but it is fun. i 'romance' them all, but haven't completed any romance. the bisexual elf is the easiest though. idk, i haven't finished the game after having it for a long time. i'm replaying mass effect, favourite rpg forever. this isn't that uninteresting, shit, i mean what is there to say?

I assume hitting the peak of the romance is when you sleep with the characters, or is there more than that?

I took a little break from it and I'm trying to complete it now, otherwise if I put it down again it might be a couple of months before I get back to it again. Looking over my posts I tend to have a picture or a video alongside the text, it feels a little bare when some of my posts don't have that I guess.

It's not the peak, I think there is a 100 event for everybody, and it changes character to character... Alistair will be okay with sleeping with you, but Morrigan will flatly refuse to sleep with you anymore, for instance.

That's interesting, especially with Morrigan. I might try it out for fun when I've chipped away at more of the side quests, I still haven't gotten around to killing Morrigan's mother!

I romanced Alistair my first run-through, because I had an agenda and wanted to be queen. But then I ended up really liking him. I also romanced Leliana right at the end, because I liked the idea, but then we broke it off (you get less disapproval if you let the character break up with you, turns out). And then I romanced Zevran, had sex with him so I could get the achievement, and broke up with him.
Gift giving is also my weakness, but if your female character romances Alistair, doesn't talk to Zevran, and doesn't hint to Leliana that she enjoys the company of other women, there shouldn't be too many problems. If she's not romancing Alistair... I have no idea.

Although, being flirty with both Morrigan and Leliana (as a dude) at the same time can be fun, especially if they're both in your party.

Haha it's like a soap opera with these characters, I wonder if the other characters like Sten or Wynne or even the dog can react to this romance in some way?

Some characters you're just friends with will discuss your romance, if you're at a high enough approval with them. Wynne will eventually have an opinion of your character being in love, Sten never cares, and Dog only reacts if he's in your party when the Warden kisses someone. Yeah, I've played DA way too much, lol. A perk with being in a romance is that it opens up additional dialogue possibilities.
