1.) Do you really need one?

My camera which I bought at an obscene price is now with one of my clients cause I don't really use it (it's at least in some use for me that way).

2.) The prices of these things are always dropping like crazy just like computers (or even more). You'll probably get a good second deal on something like Bazee.

Well, yeah, I really do need one. I am planning to start a project that combines art with literature and poetry, and for that I already have themes and models in mind, but film is too expensive and the film camera I have isnt very good. :(
I did check out all the links that Dhempe suggested and found some pretty good deals, I am going to refer to those prices when I go camera shopping in early october with my dad. Thanks :)

Hmm, I really don't know much about cameras but all the pics on our Goa trip this year were taken on the jackol's which should be in your range and was very good.

The, of course, there are those like sidcarter's :D

I think that was a Nikon D70, not too sure.

Very impressive, very professional and very heavy :)) Something like 50 or 60 thousand, I think! (I think a couple of others on Lj have it too now - jace and kalyan)

Checked out all the links, thanks, from them I have gathered the information I need to use for when I compare the camera models and prices for when I go to shop for the camera in early october.
