Someone care to explain how this place has turned to shit so quick? I've seen stuff fall into decay and disrepair, but never this fast outside of a war... and I don't remember any raids happening.

Let me venture a guess: it's one of the "features" here, along with time travel and carnivorous plants.

West: if you need me, I'll be in the garden.

Things have turned shite here before and worse than this. You should have been here for their little "carnival".

But. That's not to say any of this is good. Things have never declined this steadily before. I'm wondering if it's really only downhill from here.

The carnival wasn't much of a celebration, I take it.

How much worse has it gotten before? If it keeps declining at this rate...

A regular festival of injury, fear, hunger, and exhaustion, actually.

The carnival is the worst that I've experienced... though, the doubles were bad, too. I'm not sure if this quite measures up with the first. I don't think so, but then, I've not seen everything that's changed, yet.

It is a rather interesting change of things for the asylum. This is the first I have seen it become this grim since my arrival.

Do be cautious in your explorations of the asylum right now Gilbert-san.

*grumbles ever-so-politely*

Gilbert has NO idea how to be cautious. It's not in his make-up. Frau Nia--did I have a chance to introduce you? Gilbert is my elder brother, the Kingdom region of Prussia.

Gilbert-san certainly sounds like Simon's aniki! You are brothers Ludwig-san? Oh that is quite nice! It is lovely to meet more countries.

Oh yes, we're brothers. He pretty much raised me after I was born in the beginning years of the Deutsches Bund. In his heyday he was the greatest super-power in Europe.

.... a fact he's likely to remind everyone of, as often as he can. But it's all right. I find I'd actually missed that!

I know what it means when you casually say you'll be in the garden. And it isn't for a walk around to take the air!

I told you to stay away from the plant. Right?
