"I loved the cinema. Going with my dad...when things weren't total shit with him. God, how the hell did I end up here?"

"Jack? I'm fine...more or less, i suppose. I'm here. What about you? I've got to say you're looking a bit less together than usual. They're playing tricks again, nothing more. At least it seems."
Ianto glances away from the screen, clearing his throat
"Bad memories...i'm not sure if they knew about this particular instance and worked on that, or just coincidence.."

"There are some things roaming the halls. Not a species I'm familiar with, and one got a bit too close before I could teleport out. We seem to be running out of safe zones."
He gives the screen a thoughtful look, taking in Ianto's reaction, the quick cover-up, the too-quick dancing between subjects.
"Can you get to a secure location, or do you need me to pull you out?"

"a 'safe' area in any sense seems to be dwindling. I'm fully functional" a small chuckle. Things Not To Say Around Jack "In any case...we could meet up. Should, rather."
Ianto trails off, gaze fixed on the screen. It's a mixture of open concern, surprise, and worry
"Jack...how injured are you?"
