The sun was beautiful as we gathered for our first
Global Night Commute to save Uganda!!:
Molly was a little camera-shy at first:
Leigh and Paul's heads were beautiful as we listened to the guy in charge let us know how awesome we were and what roads we would be taking to get to downtown:
There were TONS of people there, and this is only a small section of the crowd:
When we were stretched out and walking, we took up about 3 or 4 city blocks! This is only the front of the crowd:
Here's the view behind me:
Kristin and Rachel walked with me for the whole way, and they were awesome company:
Paul and Brook walked with us for a little while:
YAY AWESOME:
We had to stop at some traffic lights, because it took about three or four red lights to get everyone across the roads:
This picture is unfortunately very blurry because I was walking as I took it, but I thought it looked cool watching a section of our group try to cross the road:
Rachel and I had a great time!!
In our little corner of the river walkway. About one foot to the left of Paul is the Cape Fear River, which made the surroundings absolutely FREEZING. We were tiiiiiired after the walk, but that didn't stop us from going to bed no earlier than 1am:
The moon looked cool, but I was so freezing that my hand shook during the photo:
I thought this poster was amazing. SAVE UGANDA!:
The Global Night Commute sign:
Global Night Commute registration table:
Leigh and Anna write letters to our senators + Bush about Uganda:
PAUL IS A SERIOUS PLAYA. I came back from the registration table to see him DRAPED over Leigh and Anna and just cracked up. They were having a totally normal conversation, except that Paul's face was in a pillow. XD
His legs would occasionally go up in the air like this, to Molly's and my neverending amusement:
And before we went to bed, Molly and I took a picture of each other:
YAY GLOBAL NIGHT COMMUTE!!!
