if u can lead a horse to water, why cant u make him swim?

horses can swim, as anyone with half a brain knows, so why doe the saying go "u can lead a horse to water but u cant make him swim" or maybe thats cows. either way, it hjas nothing to do with anything. i got into blue notes, surprising yet note too exciting. i also watched the south parks episode "the simpsons did that" it was funny.I COMMAND YOU

in jamaica i went horseback riding in the ocean. i've never heard that saying before but i agree it is truely stupid, seeing as i have made a horse swim before. well, unless the horse is really afraid of water and goes crazy and kills u before u can get it to swim...but thats a different story.
