sounds like your mom loves you very much. this story is a child needing hugs and wanting more that can be given at the time, loving a child is also teaching the child to be tougher when the parent can't be there. i have 3 children and am also a single mom. as a single parent it is hard to comfort those tender moments when you have to be working all the time. please forgive your mom for the missed moments. my children are grown now and it takes being an adult to understand the complexiety of raising children. i have one grand child and am able to dote over this little blessing like i would have liked to have done for my 3 children but life was harder then. find comfort in knowing these painful moments will pass and be placed with wisdom as age brings a distance to the past. give your mom a break, i'm sure she never intended for the pain to hurt you. love her back with all you've got.
