The Silmarillion goes Shakespeare.

Did anyone ever realize how great an Elizabethan drama the history of the House of Feanor would make? ( Beware of inanity and extreme simplification of Silm-history )

Now I have to confess I just had to check if Horatio is among the ones still alive. You never know with Shakespeare... *shakes head* So yes, Horatio. And Ereinion stars as Fortinbras.

I think you're on to something important here!

Well, who knows? Funny enough but the similarities escaped me until today. Then it hit me. I think it may that "Someone wants revenge and in the end almost every one is dead"-plot. it could also be by university paper that waits to be written And I so can imagine Maglor doing the "The undiscover'd country from whose bourn no traveller returns"-thing. *squees* Erm, yes...

And hey, you have an LJ-account! Do we want to friend each other? My friends-list is a tiny bit... desolate. *is all enthusiastic* :-)

Uhm, yes. Stupid Heroine.

I just saw that I'm already on your friends-list. Now I've added you, too. :-)

Oh it would be fun studying the Silmarillion at school/university, wouldn't it? Especially regarding the fact that I probably am more familiar with the First Age of Arda than with any of my subjects of study. *sigh*

We read Macbeth at school and I rather liked it, because it's practically all blood and gore, hehe. And well, I have to confess I was incredibly in love with Leonardo DiCaprio as Romeo in Baz Luhrmann's movie. *cringes* But, hey, I was young and knew no better... and you're probably right about the fact that Romeo is pathetic. ;-) (I for my part think, that Hamlet is a rather spoiled brat, by the way)
