How the mighty have fallen

I know this is probably the dumbest thing I can do about something so trivial but I have to say that I've really lost all my faith in Cartoon Network as well as the TV industry as a whole.Look at what some of these old TV stations have been reduced to...Cartoon Network has ridiculous live action shows and sub-par cartoons,Nickelodeon is too preoccupied with dumb "teenage" shows like iCarly and whatever else they can get their corporate writers to pull out of their butts,Marvel has been bought by Disney who have just recently started trying to get their acts together and break away from all that CG crap they've been pulling, and let's not even talk about the Disney channel because that's a whole other kettle of fish.I guess what I'm really trying to say is that I miss the old days.I grew up in the 90's when Cartoon Network really WAS the best place for cartoons,Disney played shows I actually could watch without gagging, and Nickelodeon wasn't some kind of dumping ground for tween shows.I was spoiled with shows like Dexter's Lab,Rugrats,Samurai Jack,PPG,and a long list of others.I've fallen so far out of love with any of these stations that I hardly even know what their programming is anymore(and then there's the loss of Toonami but I'll save that for another day).I know that you can only show re-runs of any show for so long but damn if you're going to get rid of all of those shows in one fell swoop at least come up with something that people will want to watch. For awhile I watched Flapjack, and Chowder(why are all these shows named after food?)and I actually grew to at least tolerate them but they truly are a far-cry from some of the heavy-hitters that used to grace that now dead network.I think the day it really died for me is when they finally cut Toonami altogether and then when they started airing live action shows...well let's just say I was less that thrilled.I know that my nonsensical ranting will do less than squat to bring any of these channels back to their former glory and I've already signed that petition to bring Toonami back but I have to say I just dread the way things are going. For all we know Cartoon Network will just get rid of the cartoons altogether and we'll be stuck watching crap like Destroy Build Destroy(which apparently has been renewed for another season,oh joy).Either way I'm just one of the many outraged fans who want to see things go back to the way they were but honestly I don't see that happening until we get some true creative people back in power at Cartoon Network.

real life and what-not+rants!
