This is something which gets to me... that across the world from Iran so many millions of people sit in comfort, surfing the web without restrictions on our accessibility to various sites, reading fanfic, etc., all the while proclaiming our support for the Iranians who are risking their lives to see justice served in their country - while across the world the Iranians are fighting for something they believe. They're not fighting for something that will make their lives immediately better - not things like pay rises or women's rights, just the idealistic right for their votes to be rightfully heard, something which they are risking their lives for, which in another country people might say 'it's not worth risking your life for this, sit down and shut up and live to live another day'... I cannot reconcile this. I cannot comprehend this.
That. Was. So. Inspiring. Zhi I'm proud of you. Seriously, if you wrote like this for GP and if they had an Angus Ross for GP you probably would've gotten it. But yeah, you're right, stuff like that (what the police commander said) always makes me tear up whenever I read about/watch it. Sigh.
