Is Shauntee any closer to the Bride than you are to the groom?
I'm assuming that she knows this girl better than you know this girl's future husband, so nah you're prolly just being lame.

And it seems like bachelorette parties are for almost any woman that you may know to celebrate you and your wonderfulness where as for men it's him and his closest friends doing things maybe they shouldn't be doing.

When i get married[gasp] i am going to invite my 3rd grade teacher. Now if Miss Smith wants to go is a different story, but my point being i am going to invite the most people possible. The more the marrier. Also, i tried this with my brothers bachelor party, since his wifes party was the same night, for both parties to meet up at midnight at a local bar. Get the entire gang together for the last few hours of binge drinking and praying to the white god.

I think Shauntee got invited because she is direct friends with the bride, where as you are friends with the couple BECAUSE of Shauntee (I'm assuming, since I don't know any of you lol). See, the bachelor/bachelorette party is generally for very close friends, i.e. Best Friends. Where as the shower is more for the ladies invited to the wedding (Not necessarily a tight knit group). In my opinion, you are Shauntee's +1 and not a direct invitee to the wedding.
