[A/N: Fanart for
epistolic's wonderful Thor/The Tudors crossover fic,
The Wheel, in the
marvel_bang challenge! Her fic is amazing and exactly the right amount of harsh and soft to tug at your heartstrings. If you haven't read it yet, go go go! :D
And well, about this drawing: It's watercolour (obviously) intermixed with coloured pencil on 300 gsm acrylic cardboard, with a bit of digital enhancement. It's the first colour drawing I've done in a very, very long time; a drawing that deals with more perspective and juxtaposition than I care to describe; and also took the longest to gestate. I hope you like it, and that it increases your interest in the fic. Did I mention it's awesome? Yeah.
So, here's the art! LJ has size issues, so do please click through the picture to see the larger version!
He sees the exact moment when Thor catches sight of him - he, Loki, a single still figure amidst all the chaos. For a second Thor's eyes widen; something flicks over his face, like a struck flint, there and gone. ... He cannot help thinking that they have stopped on the edges of a battlefield, and are looking back dismayed at the body count.
[Edit: I also did a quick sketch/playbill/movie poster for her
vidder :P Remember to click on the pic for a bigger version! (yes, size does matter)]
