okay 1, that's a gorgeous dog.
2. we got 26 inches of snow once at school over 24 hours and nothing closed down. Welcome to my (old) world. :)

He's a bit weird, but a good dog. Scares the hell out of Fedex and UPS, but that's a good reason to have him.

People are blaming the mayor for not being ready for a blizzard. We hardly ever get them! Jeez...snow days aren't that bad.

Yeah you'd have to invest in a lot of snow equipment that doesn't get used often in order to dig out fast. Ultimately probably not worth it.

My doggy scares away everybody, except mormons. They don't care if he launches his hairy self and knocks them square in the nuts, they just keep preaching. *sigh*

According to one of the newspaper websites, 880 pieces of snow equipment are in use over the state. o_O; Meep. I don't think we had even 100 plows out in the metro area, though.

That's when you come to the door with a sword.

Yep, we're clear skies here all day. It snowed into the afternoon yesterday, and that seems to be it. We got maybe 8" max, so no really big deal. It's still coldish, down in low 20's/high teens.

Today was the last day at work (until 1/2), so I'm planning LOTS of sleeping in!

Sadly enough, I haven't really slept in more than one day in three this break. Strange dreams and people calling me before I'm really awake if not outright startling me awake.

(Isn't working for a campus nice at the winter holidays?)

It'd be nicer if I were full time and got paid for it! I hope you get some good sleep, kiddo. Important stuff sleep is. As far as the calls, phones can be unplugged and answering machines can fulfill their destiny.

Yeah, well, can't have everything. :\

I wake up very easily to the phone and I go with telling people who have my number, "Call me anytime, day or night." And I can hear my phone buzz when it's on silent.
