Pick 20 movies/anime/video games/comic books/literary works/television series and put their summaries from Better Than It Sounds and WITHOUT CHEATING have your friends guess.
I did this over a year ago and it's amazing how few of my own fandoms I could guess!
1. A guy's dad dies. This results in global war and nearly ends the world. Comes with the usual side order of dragons.
2. The game is based around coloured gems being dropped into holes. It is not a puzzle game.
3. A human gets turned into a monster after a personality test and is roped into rescuing other monsters in randomly generated dungeons. Said human nearly distracts a giant sky dragon from saving the world.
4. Pokemon-like creatures appear in real life, most likely leading to one of several versions of the Apocalypse over the course of a week while you are stuck inside a part of Tokyo. Your main source of information as to what the hell is going on is an increasingly glitchy mail daemon.
5. Play doctor. No, not in a sexy sort of way.
6. Disaffected hipsters take on the military by surfing.
7. A Chessmaster manipulates the heroes, villains, and entire countries for some unkown goal, while racking up the Power Levels and body count.
8. An amnesiac royal gets mixed up with dead bishie bishops after bad dreams make him flee a military academy and his best friend turns into a developmentally delayed mascot character.
9. A girl cross-dresses and enters an all-boys boarding school on the other side of the world in order to hang out with a guy she's seen on TV but never met. She doesn't do a very good job of keeping her gender a secret, accidentally makes another boy think he's gay, and somehow ends up sleeping in the same bed as said idol an improbable number of times. UST ensues.
10. An old woman breaks into a con man's house. Romance ensues.
11. Defeat extremist ecological teams who hope to better the ecology of the region in convoluted ways.
12. A traumatized English teacher tries to be a good person. Everyone ignores him - with the exception of his student, God, who mocks him and then ignores him.
13. Children learn about boar hunting and killing each other brutally.
14. A drama centered around a teenager's disconnection anxiety due to her poorly performing cellphone.
16. A squadron of insane soldiers try to not die in the war. Paradoxical bureaucracy gets in the way of that.
17. A cheerful, 15-year-old boy tries to figure out how he became the main character in Alice in Wonderland.
18. A group of androgynous, sexually ambiguous young men pose as florists to cover-up their lucrative business as assassins.
19. A boy runs away from home and an old man talks to cats.
