It was silly, and Wesley knew it, but he ran into town early to have his uniform cleaned and pressed for when Lieutenant Gaeta would come by after work. The morning shift flew by, and Wes was even able to stop by city hall to get the keys to the neighboring house to give the Lieutenant a proper tour. Not that he suspected the place was all that much different than his. Just the idea of there being someone else who wouldn't look at him cock-eyed when Wes said something about plasma fusion or anything from near his era was doing wonders for his mood.
And so it was with straight shoulders and combed hair that Wesley waited for the lieutenant to arrive.
