I've lose faith and almost interest in whatever movie Oliver Stone would show us this time. I don't think he can say something significant about Alexander anymore. I'd like to see more war episodes, Granicus, for example, more moments with the soldiers, more interactions between Alexander and his generals and Companions ... Crateros, Parmenion ... I totally agree with you about Oliver Stone and his love for Alexander and his time/culture.

A TV-series like "I, Claudius" or "Rome" about Alexander and Macedonia would be a wonderful dream :)

Bagoas was not important at Alexander's court, I agree, maybe Curtius chose to tell the episode about his (little) influence on Alexander as reference to the power gained by freedmen at Caligula's and Claudius' court, because they were often accused of being influenced by their freedmen.I'm not sure that Bagoas was a slave, though. I didn't miss anything about him, anyway: but should Stone put something more about Bagoas, I wish it was something historical (or, at least, something we can read in sources), and NOT another (ridiculous) reference to a supposed rivalry Hephaestion/Bagoas/Roxane or something like that...
