Movie versions?

Can someone explain all these movie releases to me? Is there another one coming out soon? I just bought one like a week ago - how many versions are there? And which version focuses most on Alexander and Hephaestion?

there are three as far as i know. 1. theatrical version 2. director's cut 3. final cut: "revisited".

i don't have a copy yet of the latest version but according to what i have read, that one contains extended versions of some of the scenes in the theatrical version. the director's cut is definitely the ugliest of the three. oliver stone basically deleted the good alexander/hephaestion scene from the thatrical so the director's cut is actually the SHORTEST version. my take, pick the "final cut: revisited" because it contains ALL of the original clips and the added ones. hope i helped :)

The director's cut has extended scenes, which you didn't see in the theatical version, but there are some scenes deleted (esp. Heph/Alex.) The revisited, final cut has both: the extended scenes (very good scenes, indeed... for example, the death of Kleitos!) AND the theatrical ones. The ORDER of some scenes varies in these 3 movie-versions! But the last cut (revisited) is the best. The only thing I don't like is: Bagoas is more centered as Alexander's lover than Hephaistion. Lovely, sweet Bagoas - I DON'T LIKE HIM. *g* If you don't want to see this, I recommend the theatrical version.
