Re: college apps - yeah, i'm disappointed about the deferral, but it's better than an outright rejection. i didn't apply to yale... i was thinking about it, but in the end i decided not to... i don't really remember why.
I'm sorry about the deferral (pssst - it happened to me, too...). It's not such a big deal, except that I assume now you have to go through all the fuss of sending in 20 million other applications, right? Oh well. And no Yale?! tsk tsk.
*laughs* actually, after leaving that last comment i went and printed out all the stuff i needed to apply to yale, and i guess i am not. this brings my total college applications to a whopping 10, 6 of which i have to work on over the break. sigh.

Sorry, I totally missed this comment until just now. I have no idea if you'll read this, but unfortunately no, I was not deferred at Yale. I didn't apply early at Yale.
