My GPA was off just a little... otherwise I could have qualified for the really good scholarship that paid tuition and gave a $10K stipend. That would have been the best ever, but what I got is still great. GPA will follow you and affect you like crazy... even from years and years ago. I have a 3.54 GPA from WSU, but less than that from Clark State. In 2000 I left school to work for Sprint and didn't drop my classes before I left the state for training, a major doh! Because it hurt my overall GPA and was difficult to effectively fix. At the time I never ever thought I would be in a position to study what I truly wanted to study so I didn't think much of it. Now my mantra is GPA GPA GPA. If I can keep up my GPA at MTSO I can hopefully get into a really good PhD program with a good stipend and teaching regime.
