Well dont be disappointed in me, because I dont want to have any "levels".
I want to make myself clearly understood. I like my commnuication open and breasy.
I dont want nuances - which to me registers that someone is afraid to speak their mind.

And if you catch me smiling and nodding like a wooden duck- its my "Im humoring you, crazy bitch" expression..

But I hear you when you say you would like to find someone who "gets" you.

I wanted that too. Ive since given up.

You and I will probably never discuss complex topics.
( which to me means math or politics, by the way)
I dont have the attention span. I am not the kind of friend you crave.

I'm not talking about interpersonal communications... I know you have an issue with vague. When I am talking to someone I try to be clear and open. The nuances I am talking about are not related to that. Politics, pyhsics, philosophy, expressing yourself artistically, psychology.. these require more than the surface level of thinking.. more than black and/or white.

And if I ever catch you smiling and nodding like a wooden duck... I would fully expect you to follow that WITH the phrase, "I am humoring you, crazy bitch" and I hope you know I would do the same :D.

And just because you aren't inside my soul, doesn't mean you aren't the kind of friend I want.

ROOM FULL OF MIRRORS
Artist:Jimi Hendrix

I USED TO LIVE IN A ROOM FULL OF MIRRORS
ALL I COULD SEE WAS ME
WELL I TAKE MY SPIRIT AND I SMASH MY MIRRORS
NOW THE WHOLE WORLD IS HERE FOR ME TO SEE
I SAID THE WHOLE WORLD IS HERE FOR ME TO SEE
NOW I'M SEARCHIN' FOR MY LOVE TO BE
HEY!!

YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!

BROKEN GLASS WAS ALL IN MY BRAIN
CUTTIN' SCREAMIN' CRYING IN MY HEAD
BROKEN GLASS WAS ALL IN MY BRAIN
FALL IN MY DREAMS CUT ME IN MY BED
FALL IN MY DREAMS CUT ME IN MY BED
I SAID A MAKIN' LOVE WAS STRANGE IN MY BED
YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!

ALL RIGHT
OOO OOO
YEAH YEAH YEAH

YEAH YEAH YEAH
YEAH YEAH YEAH
NO PLACE TO STUMBLE
NO PLACE TO FALL
CAN'T FIND WAR
NO WHERE AT ALL
SEE NOTHING BUT SUNSHINE
ALL AROUND

LOVE COMES SHININ' OVER THE MOUNTAINS
LOVE COMES SHININ' OVER THE SEA
LOVE WILL SHINE ON MY BABY
THEN I'LL KNOW WHO'S EXACTLY FOR ME
LORD, I'LL KNOW WHO'LL BE FOR ME
IN THE MEANTIME, WHICH IS A GROOVY TIME

People different from one point to the next. What a body is right now can be the polar opposite from six hours into the future.
So what does that translate to? Breadth? :P
That being said, I often feel like Forrest Gump.
..then, among other people, I feel like Einstein.
If I have a point here, let's assume that it's
"Length, breadth, and depth are only matters of perspective".

I would much rather feel like Forrest Gump... It seems like there is more to learn that way... but I acknowledge that you can learn a lot from people who you initially think have nothing to offer you.. I try to give people a fair shake.
Ain't it all a matter of perspective?

I feel like either, depending on the hour :-/
And yes. It's a matter of perspective.

As each of us struggles with alien-like interactions between disparate individuals, the holy grail for us all is that one unique person who intuitively understands our thoughts and dreams. (I could have just said soulmate, but I prefer to define it) The odds against the existance of that person are magnitudes greater than the population of the world so don't expect a perfect synchronization, there will always be differences. That is probably why we are a social animal, to get beyond those differences without doing serious harm to others and ourselves.

Pretty close with a loving understanding of any differences is better than perfect.
