I didn't see another car or person the whole trip, everything was closed. I was driving to pick up my daughter after work. It was after midnight and the streets were empty. I took a side street to avoid the ice on the freeway overpasses. I really didn't feel like getting on that ride again. On my way to work a car had spun a 360 right behind me. I

There was an old story from The outer limits or some such series- henpecked husband was in a vault doing something- bomb went off destroying all civilization and he emerged unscathed.
