So, today was my birthday. I spent it at one of my favorite places in the world, Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary. All the animals there were rescued from abusive situations...some of them were victims of the animal agriculture industry, some were abused by their owners, some were found wandering around D.C. or caged behind restaurants, one sheep (
