In my last relationship, she was also very needy. Needing some attention never bothered me. A little attention seeking is OK because all females, deep inside, want to be adored. This is supposed to come from their father first.
Anyway, my last relationship--she was needy in a way that sabotaged me; she bothered me with trivial details of her life dozens of times per day. When I confronted her about it, it just made her more needy and hostile toward me (instead of understanding).
If you're constantly asking for attention for trivial things, how can people have emotional energy left to contribute to the important things in your life?
But if someone(s) repeatedly ignore those things that you say are important to you, then perhaps they don't care as much as you thought.
See, I have a problem in the sense that I never got that from my father. So... ya. It's not specific things with me it's more a general... "pay attention to me," "touch me" etc etc. I just want to feel important... so ya adored. But I should probably know that can't be 24/7.

I hope that helps.
