That's the goal of the Arts Council. Achieving great art for everyone. I'm just not sure that they can do it. The good news is that we still have an Arts Council. The bad news is that it exists now to implement cuts.

Add to that the cuts to the BBC and it's hard to see where how the ecosystem can survive - suppose it's too much to ask for ministers who understand how interdependent it all is even though that's why they put culture and media in the same department!
