okay, so I've been really slacking in the con report area. since my last post... well, ACen was ACen, and Colossalcon was Tornadocon Colossalcon. I had a blast at both, despite the little minor irritations i.e. the room bill at ACen >.>so now this leads us to Ikasucon. What happened to the room bill at Acen? I'm curious now since I don't go to those cons! Also, I'm so glad everyone's all right after Tornadocon! <3

fffffffffff. so when I booked my room, it was 189 + taxes on Thursday night, and 179 flat Friday and Saturday night. at least, that's what I was quoted. also, internet was supposed to be 25 flat for 24 hours. when I got my bill, not only did they charge me 13 per device for internet with 4 laptops, but they also charged me tax on Friday and Saturday night. I woke up the room with a "what the fuck? oh HELL no." and marched my happy self down to the front desk and, as politely as possible, did a double reaming. thankfully, it was all resolved, but still >.<

I want to rant about the headaches I've had with Ikasu reg (no blame on my department head, she was finishing a degree, but trying to get the issues I've had resolved feel like me banging my head into a wall, as if what I'm saying is being dismissed as paranoia, and the issue I'm seeing isn't real. Excuse me, I'm perfectly good at putting 2+2 together when multiple people contact me on having the same issue) but getting into details wouldn't be proper... or something. I also don't see much enthusiasm for the con from staff. At least not upper staff. Dusty and the cosplay people are excluded from that grouping though ( ... )

Hey, if you need another staffer for reg, I could probably do it again. XD Granted it's been a couple years since the last time I was on reg instead of video staff, but if you need the help~

Jessie hasn't said anything about wanting/needing more staff, but at the same time I have staff from last year asking about staffing again too. Waiting for her to say stuff about it. =/ I say more help the better. But for now I'm manning the emails for reg and there are times I DREAD checking it, and other times I'm hopeful that may, just MAYBE, I'll get a response from someone going, "Oh, yeah, that IS an issue! Let me go and fix that!" or even an "I'll look into it" acknowledgement.

Silence sucks. -_-#

(Oops, did I start going into a rant. Sorry.)

Just let me know! I don't think I'll be getting in super early on Friday so I doubt I can do reg then, but we shall see~ (lol I'm all about getting a free badge and helping the con. I was going to do panels but idk anymore... XD)

I'm getting over a nearly week-long stomach bug, breathed tar all week at work (they're re-roofing), seen the men in yellow once, so far, because of the fumes from the re-roofing triggering the fire alarm, and I've been on two dates with an anime-otaku. I've found out again that I'm diabetes-free and hypercholesterolemia-free, that I've lost 5 lbs and that my blood pressure is optimal. Such is my lot in life.
