I've wondered about your username! I just googled it since you mentioned its connection to red. That's really cool!

I looove cheese too! I like having it with fruits and honey. ♥

Hm...what countries have you visited/would like to visit? =)

I like cheese with anything :)

I live in Poland, I've been to: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Chroatia, Germany, Italy, France, Monaco :D, Spain
I obviously want to go to Japan one day, I'd like to see some of the USA, too, well, actually I wouldn't mind visiting any other countries (wanna see Norway!). New places, foreign languages, foreign looking people - it's all very interesting. I like new experiences.
If I had the money and time, first I'd go see Japan, then maybe I'd go to New York. Then I'd jump to Scandinavia. I want to go to South America and i want to go to Spain again.
how about you?

Cheese is pretty yummy! Love how it goes with a lot of things. ♥

That's pretty cool! I'm always a bit jealous of Europeans, because you're so close to many countries! It feels like a big deal to travel to a foreign country from where I live. I've been only to France on the continent, and Finland in Scandinavia.

As for me, I would love to see more countries in Europe - particularly Italy because I'm a big foodie as you well know. XD I've seen London but would love to travel around the UK a little more, possibly visiting some sites of Arthurian legend. I'd like to see Asia as well, including India! And ooh, places like Egypt too. *__* ♥ Would love to revisit Japan, where I've only been once.

And it's been so much fun squeeing with you! Am so happy to have you on my flist. ♥

I say one can never be too old for fandom. Heck, I'm getting up there myself! Lol. I've watched the anime Loveless, though from what I understand, the manga is much longer? As for fandom monogamy - I'm kind of similar to you, in that there's usually one main fandom I fangirl at a time, with a few others sprinkled in to lesser extents. =)

I wish I learned Latin! Unfortunately, the extent of my Latin are legal terminology I picked up in law school, lol.

Mm...tea. ♥ I have at least 2~3 cups of it a day! Love it.

*squee* X)

I thought it was very pretty, though it left off sort of hanging at the end. If they pick up the series again, I'd definitely continue watching. =)

Hi there!

I've seen you around as well! You do all those pretty colorations, if I remember correctly. Lovely stuff! (Thanks! XD It'd been a while since I did icons..)

Please do friend away!

What other mangas are your favorites aside from Saiyuki? =)

My high school taught Japanese as well! (I won't tell you how long ago THAT was, lol). Good luck with the class!

I've never heard of Lifehouse...what sort of music do they play? Asians definitely make awesome food! XD I'm curious now, since you mentioned the importance of Japan to your country's history - where are you from?

♥ Yes, I love how friendly dogs are~ So affectionate.

I love coffee too! I'll only take it black if I'm really in need of a caffeine boost, though.

Ah, cool! I've read YnM and Vampire Knight..and WA of course. ♥ I got into Vampire Knight from the anime first, which I thought was really pretty!

It's hard to believe we're already in Sept, the "back to school" season! Doesn't feel like it quite yet here, with the warm weather..

Aah ok! =) And wow, I've never met anyone from Saipan before! That is cool that the older residents can speak Japanese. Perhaps you can practice your Japanese with grandparents when your classes start up. ^__~

Hello, hello, translator-san!

Basic stuff: I am married, have a daughter who's a high school junior this year, I'm a Leo with Libra rising, an Earth Dog by the Chinese method, and an INFP on the MBTI. And I'm Jewish. I work for a gov't agency, formatting pages and so on for their intranet web site (I used to work on the public site, and that was much more interesting ... ). I was born in Washington DC and have lived in this area all my life, except for 4 years at U.Va. But I have travelled a little, to the British Isles and most recently to Scandanavia.

Fandom/non-fandom interests?

I have been a science fiction and fantasy fan from way back - books, not movies or TV. I also read mysteries and children's lit, and every once in a while a historical novel or a memoir. My favorite authors include C.J. Cherryh, P.C. Hodgell, Martha Wells, Peter Dickinson, and lots more. Manga is a relatively new obsession, not quite 2 years old at this point. In addition to Saiyuki, I liked Samurai Deeper Kyo, Bleach, xxxHolic, Blade of the ( ... )

Hello hello! ♥

A fellow Washingtonian, greetings! I wasn't born here, but was definitely raised here. At least...the suburbs. But we still consider ourselves Washingtonian out here, lol.

Fantasy! I haven't really read much from that genre, though I did love the children's fantasy books growing up (like Chronicles of Prydain), and studied some Arthurian legend in college. You seem to be quite well read in the manga, considering you've only started 2 years ago! I haven't read half of the ones you mention. =)

HTML is definitely a language all on its own. XD Full immersion schools must be such an experience! Kids pick up on languages so quickly, it's quite the ideal time to expose them to new languages.

And I love raw sugar as well! It's not as sweet as regular sugar. ♥

Randomly commenting because I just so happened to check my flist after aeons of negligence ahaha... ^^: I've always loved reading your posts; they always make my day a little more chipper, and of course I cannot thank you enough for all the translations (amongst other things) you've contributed to the Saiyuki fandom!

Fandom / non-fandom interests
As far as fandom goes, it's mostly manga/anime, with the odd dose of book/tv-series fandom. Saiyuki's one of my staples, of course (along with the other Minekura works)!~ ♥ ♥ ♥ Prince of Tennis was one that I happened to stumble into c/o Bleach, strangely enough!

Non-fandom would have to be food - eating it, of course, as well as baking. Being a poor starving student, I get rather experimental in the kitchen! XD

Language / special abilitiesEnglish is my first language, but since the official language is Malay and my relatives speak Mandarin/Cantonese, I grew up learning those too. My addiction to anime and Korean dramas has me (veeery slowly!) picking up spoken Japanese/Korean...And then ( ... )

Hi there! ♥ Thanks so much for your comment! I love that something I posted could make someone's day a little chipper. *beams*

Oooh, sounds like we've got lots in common - especially the Saiyuki/food bit. XD How did you find PoT through Bleach? *curious* I actually came to PoT through Yugioh, the voice actor connection. *grin*

I wanted to learn Korean after watching a few Korean flicks/dramas too! I hear it's pretty similar to Japanese in sentence structure and so forth.

I've got a dog too...who has spent this afternoon barking his head off at some passersby. *sigh* I need to be more strict with him.

I love strong Vietnamese coffee over ice! Actually, the way I take my coffee (with condensed milk) was something that I picked up from Vietnamese restaurants.

♥!

=) Thanks for friending me! ♥

Heh, that was entirely accidental. I first discovered the Bleach musicals randomly through youtube, and then fell in love with the cast, so I went looking for more stuff they'd done, and it turns out about half of them had been in the PoT musicals too! It's a crossover dream come true! XDD I follow voice actors too! Ahaha, that's actually one of the main reasons I flit from series to series...!

My dog is thankfully not too barky, but she has this tendency to literally sit on my feet. It's like my feet are her special chair or something!

I'm actually more fascinated by the drip thing of Vietnamese drip coffee than the taste of the coffee, to be honest! (Although I do like the taste... I just like the drippy device more!)

Sure! ♥

Oh..the musicals, of course. I haven't seen the Bleach musicals, actually. But they do seem to use many of the same actors in these musical productions. Did you see tenipuri the live action movie? The Atobe there will be playing Hakkai in Saiyuki the Musical, which amuses me greatly. XD

Aw...but your dog sounds cute. ♥ Mine is tiny, so it's easy to spoil him.

The drippy device...you mean the individual filter / coffee press thing they put on top of your mug? That IS pretty nifty. X)
