I agree, Blast is just getting better and better. I'm glad someone said something about the mark on Gojyo -- in my haste to get through the chapter and see what was happening, I had missed that! Sharak is quickly becoming one of my most favorite Saiyuki characters, EVER - and even more so after this month's installment.

And yes, definitely quieter around LJ, at least in the anime fandoms I lurk around in. I've been hoping that Blast's progress and the lovely Gaiden OVA's will re-inspire more interest in Saiyuki as a fandom. We'll see. (Be nice to someday see the rest of Reload properly animated, and wipe Gunlock from our memories....)

Loved the pics of the pup and your contribution to the Eastwood meme. After hearing his "explanation", I'm not sure he's quite got both oars in the water anymore, poor dear. He's definitely making no apologies - but then, Clint Eastwood never would, would he? *lol* (no matter how foolish he looked....)

Oh wow, I came here to update and realized I hadn't replied to this comment. So sorry!

Sharak is most certainly an awesome character, and I love how she's been so dynamic and memorable in just a few chapters. I'm kind of craving someone to voice her in future! I'd love to hear how she'd be in audio.

I swear, this has been the most ridiculous election. So thankful that it's over!

Hello there! I'm so glad to see you're doing okay :)

Do you guys find that it's somewhat quieter in LJ these days?

I don't know about everyone else, but most people in my Friends List have been - temporarly, I'm sure - swept away by tumblr. I must admit it's very addictive...

And speaking of long time, Glass Mask is releasing volume 49 this month. This series has been going on since before I was born. Can she please end it already?? ...that being said, I'd like her to really write a nice and satisfying ending. I feel like the fans deserve one, after all these years of loyalty. xD;;

Oh dear me, I'm not alone, YES! I was a child when I saw the first anime version and the manga, then this summer I found the new anime... And each time I had to endure unspeakable frustration from the lack of ending! XD

Hello hello! And sorry for my long overdue reply. ;__;

I think Tumblr has definitely been a factor in seeing people less on LJ. Maybe LJ has a point about all these ridiculous "updates" to their system. They're trying to be more and more like Tumblr or Facebook, which is shorter and easier to interact with. I know I'm guilty of that as well. But really, I miss the long form interaction that was really LJ's forte. I like Tumblr for pictures, but find it excruciatingly difficult to follow discussions. I saw an article where the founder of Tumblr remarked that he purposely made it neigh impossible to comment on the platform because he thought comments gave way to a lot of nastiness. I guess there's a point there, but...meh.

Re: Glass Mask. I watched part of the new anime as well! Never finished it, though. Perhaps I should...

I'm actually still kind of interested in how things turn out in the end, which is the only reason I keep buying the new manga. It's gone on for far too long. xD
