UNC has a nifty tool where I can get books online. Which takes away the horrible OU surprise factor. Then again my books at OU never cost almost $500. That's $150 less than my monthly rent by the way. FOR BOOKS. I assure the list of expletives running through my head is longer than my leg, or your leg, or yours and mine combined. ugh, that is an overwhelming amount to spend on books!

Have you tried buying online? (they can't all be 08-09 editions, here's hoping)

Thanks. I gave it a look. Sadly, the issue isn't really the price of the books, its the quantity. Everywhere I checked was only marginally cheaper (if not more expensive) before shipping. Oh well. Thanks again for the help.

I've had fantastic computer textbook purchasing experiences with used books at amazon. Just a thought.

It sucks, I know. :(

I managed to shave off a little bit of $ by using half.com a few times. Sometimes you can find good deals (and sometimes not so much)--it's work a look-see.
