Swine Flu

This Swine Flu stuff is ridiculous! Do people not realize that the boring average flu kills 30,000 people a year? I have a friend that's convinced she's not going to be able to go on vacation because of it. In my conspiracy theroist mind, I'm fairly certain that Tamaflu has trumped all of this up just to increase their sales.

Today someone at work said, "Close the fucking borders!" And someone else added, "Yeah, keep 'em out!"

Also, on the news they are telling people here to prepare as if for a natural disaster, with supplies for up to 2 weeks in case grocery stores get shut down!

I don't think ANY flu is something to be taken lightly. Personally though...I'm more afraid of the panic.
